Gulf Coast Village’s Jennifer Cason earns Healthcare Hero Award from Volunteers of America

CAPE CORAL, Fla. (Oct. 26, 2020) – Jennifer Cason, human resources business partner at Gulf Coast Village, has earned a Healthcare Hero Award from Volunteers of America, which sponsors Gulf Coast Village and senior living communities around the country.

The Healthcare Hero Award recognizes employees who consistently demonstrate an ability and willingness to work positively, respectfully and effectively with others. Honorees must inspire their peers to excel by consistently exceeding the expectation of their position by performing at a level beyond their normal job requirements.

“Our residents and their families consistently praise staff for their talent, skills and dedication, and Jennifer is responsible for putting together a team that exceeds residents’ expectations on a daily basis,” said Kevin Ahmadi, area director of operations for Volunteers of America. “Jennifer is passionate about VOA’s mission and vision, and she exudes exemplary professionalism and kindness to everyone on staff. We’re all so proud to see Jennifer recognized as a Healthcare Hero.”

Volunteers of America is a national, nonprofit, faith-based organization dedicated to helping those in need live healthy, safe and productive lives. The organization sponsors Gulf Coast Village, which is Cape Coral’s premier Continuing Care Retirement Community, as well as The Preserve, a skilled nursing and assisted living community in Fort Myers. VOA also is sponsoring The Colonnade of Estero, a new Continuing Care Retirement Community being developed in south Lee County.

Cason began working at Gulf Coast Village in June 2018 and is responsible for hiring, training and benefits management. She is a graduate of Cape Coral High School and attended Edison State College.
